7 hacks to make a small bedroom feel cosy this winter

  1. Use warm, inviting colours
Choosing a colour palette that is warm and inviting can help to make a small bedroom feel cosy. Consider using shades of red, orange, and yellow, as these colours are associated with warmth and comfort.
  2. Use plenty of soft comfortable textures
In a small bedroom, textures can play a big role in creating a cosy atmosphere. Consider using plush rugs, soft blankets, and comfortable pillows to add texture to the space.
  3. Increase natural light
Natural light can make a small space feel larger and more open, which can in turn make it feel cosier. If possible, try to position the bed near a window to allow for plenty of natural light during the day.
  4. Use cosy bedding
Cosy bedding is an essential component of a cosy small bedroom. Choose high-quality sheets, blankets, and comforters in soft, comfortable fabrics to create an inviting and comfortable bed.
  5. Add a touch of greenery
Plants can add life and warmth to a small bedroom, making it feel more inviting and cosier. Choose low-maintenance plants that are easy to care for, such as succulents or air plants.
  6. Use soft lighting
Soft, warm lighting can help to create a cosy atmosphere in a small bedroom. Consider using table lamps, floor lamps, or string lights to add a warm, inviting glow to the space.
  7. Keep the space clutter-free
A cluttered space can feel cramped and overwhelming, which can make a small bedroom feel less cosy. Make a conscious effort to keep the space clutter-free by regularly decluttering and organizing. This will help to create a sense of calm and tranquillity in the space.
