My Mia’s Skin Relief

My Mia’s Skin Relief – As a mother I can fully understand the frustration when dealing with children with skin conditions. You only ever wish for the best of the best for your child and your natural emotions and empathy kick in if you are unable to find what you are looking for to ease their discomfort.

In my line of business, I have seen many mothers take matters into their own hands and create a bespoke product fit for purpose and once again I have found a revolutionary skincare brand My Mia’s, for children with Eczema, created by a mother on a mission.

Geeta’s daughter’s personal struggle inspired her to develop a unique formula that has transformed her daughter’s life and now aims to make a positive impact on countless others.

Geeta embarked on an extensive global quest to understand the root causes of her daughter’s eczema and the harmful effects of conventional treatments. Armed with newfound knowledge, she formulated My Mia’s which is undoubtfully a game-changer in providing a safe, effective, and natural solution for children with eczema.

Her dedication to helping her daughter and others facing similar challenges has resulted in a range of skincare products that bring relief, confidence, and a renewed sense of well-being.

The range is beautifully packaged in cheery turquoise and white, with a delicate leaf design. Women Talking had the opportunity to try the Skin Relief Kit containing a unique 3-step eczema treatment.

Step 1: Cleanse & Clear the Skin (ready for treatment) – My Mia’s Skin Relief Bath Salts will gently cleanse dirt and impurities from the surface of the skin, minimise skin infections and gently prepare the skin ready for treatment.

Step 2: Repair & Regenerate Eczema Flare-up – My Mia’s recognises the difference between a skin and eczema flare-up, dry flaking skin, and post-flare-up care. They have two treatment creams; Level 2 Calm & Clear: to calm red, itchy, inflamed skin and Level 1 Soothe & Hydrate, is an organic everyday cream for dry flaking skin on the hands, scalp, face and used as a prevention cream on previously inflamed skin/ eczema.

Step 3: Deeply hydrate & nourish skin – My Mia’s Ultimate Barrier Cream, is unlike any other cream on the market!

Made using premium ceramide ingredients this thick, rich cream deeply hydrates and nourishes skin, and with regular use improves the softness and overall texture of skin.

What is Eczema?

For one that is fortunate to have not suffered from eczema, it was important to understand more about the condition.

Also known as atopic dermatitis, eczema is a chronic skin condition characterised by inflammation, dryness, itching, and rash. It is a common condition that affects people of all ages, but it often starts in early childhood and may persist into adulthood.

The exact cause of eczema is unknown, but it is believed to involve a combination of genetic and environmental factors. People with eczema have a hypersensitive immune system that reacts to certain triggers, leading to inflammation and irritation of the skin.

Symptoms of eczema can vary in severity and may include:

Dry, scaly skin: Eczema often causes patches of dry, rough, and flaky skin.

Itching: Intense itching is a hallmark symptom of eczema and can lead to scratching, which can further damage the skin and worsen the condition.

Redness and inflammation: Affected areas of the skin may become red, swollen, and warm to the touch.

Rash: Eczema commonly causes a rash, which can appear as small, raised bumps, fluid-filled blisters that ooze and crust over, or thickened, cracked skin.

Skin discolouration: Over time, chronic eczema may lead to changes in skin pigmentation, resulting in lighter or darker patches.

Eczema can be triggered or exacerbated by various factors, including irritants (such as harsh soaps, detergents, and certain fabrics), allergens (such as pollen, dust mites, pet dander, or certain foods), temperature and humidity changes, stress, and hormonal fluctuations.

We are thrilled to have found My Mia’s range, which although manufactured in Australia are available to buy online.
