Puressentiel Stress Roll On

With 12 essential oils

Puressentiel Stress Roll On – As someone who suffers from anxiety, I have tried many things to help me feel more relaxed and calmer. When I am in a state of high anxiety or panic, I try to look for things that can help at that moment to get me into a place where I feel more balanced and grounded.

I have learnt that sitting with the anxiety is the best thing to do instead of running around like a headless chicken trying to distract and run away from all the uncomfortable symptoms and sensations.

Through trial and error using natural remedies to calm the sympathetic nervous system down and bring me back into the present moment is something I have found to be very beneficial.

Essential oils can help lift your mood and make you feel good with just a whiff of their fragrance. Essential oils are compounds extracted from plants. The oils capture the plant’s scent and flavour (essence). These oils are extracted from plant leaves, bark, and roots by either using a distillation or cold pressing process. Once extracted, they are then combined with a carrier oil which creates a product ready for use.

Be aware that essential oils that have been created through chemical processes are not classed as being true essential oils – they are known as synthetic oils, and they do not harness the same natural benefits as pure essential oil.

The Puressentiel Stress Roll-On contains 12 essential oils to help release tension and calm feelings of anger, nervousness, or low morale. The essential oils used are 100% vegan, pure, dye-free, with no preservatives, no synthetic perfume, no mineral oils and are of natural origin. The essential oils that are included in this specific roll-on are Roman Chamomile, Lavender, Lavandin, Marjoram, Mentha Pulegium, Neroli Orange, Petitgrain, West India Sandalwood, Clary Sage, Vetiver and Ylang Ylang. All these essential oils are related to promoting relaxation.

The beauty of having an essential oil roll-on is that it’s your very own pocket-sized aromatherapy tool that you can take anywhere and use at any time. Simply rolling on this heavenly blend onto a pressure point such as the back of your wrists and slowly inhaling and exhaling it can transform your mood instantly.

This little roll-on is my go-to when I can feel the anxiety rising. I shake the bottle and apply some to the back of my wrists. I then close my eyes and slowly breath in the blissful aroma and gently exhale. When I do this, I like to think about what I can smell and how it opens my lungs and chest, allowing me to breathe more deeply and easily. Picking out the notes of the scent helps to create an even more mindful experience. I do this for a couple of minutes and afterwards, I always feel refreshed and at ease.

I am always astounded by the instant effect that this has on me.

Inhaling the aromas from essential oils can stimulate areas of the limbic system, which is a part of your brain that plays a role in emotions, behaviours, sense of smell and long-term memory. It also plays a role in controlling several unconscious physiological functions such as breathing, heart rate and blood pressure.

How it works

When essential oils are applied to the skin, some plant chemicals are absorbed. Fat-soluble substances can penetrate the skin when applied as they are able to pass through the outer layer of the epidermis. The oil molecule then passes through the dermis, into the capillaries and then the bloodstream. Absorption can also occur through the hair follicles and sweat ducts. The circulation and warmth of the skin can affect the absorption of the oil.

Where to use essential oils

Massage is a great way to increase the skin’s ability to absorb the oil as both the circulation and warmth of the skin increase the blood flow to the surface. Placing the oil on areas where the skin is thinner can help the permeability as well. The skin behind the ears and inside of the wrists are the spots where the skin is the thinnest.

Essential oils have been around for a very long time and have always been used for medicinal purposes. In fact, the use of botanicals as healing agents has been practised as early as 5,000 years ago by the Ancient Egyptians.

Today, essential oils are readily available and widely used. There is an essential oil for pretty much any ailment or issue. Whether you believe in the natural healing properties of these oils or simply love the smell, there is an essential oil that will appeal to everyone.
