Pierre Marcolini Chocolate Water Lily – Springtime is fast approaching, and the joys of spring are hopefully, coming our way. When the season changes it is a time when our minds and bodies generally feel better and the time to say goodbye to the winter blues and hello to spring Euphoria!
Waking up to the birds singing, the sunshine and warmth throughout spring can be hugely uplifting, evoking the happiness, optimism, and positivity that many of us struggle with in the winter months.
To help improve our mental health connecting to nature, with the fresh air, longer days and calmness of open green spaces will provide a boost to your energy and sense of wellness.
Flowers always make me smile and the creators at Pierre Marcolini have done that by incorporating the art of chocolate.
Their chocolate Water Lily Gift Box is unique and gave me great pleasure in not only developing my beautiful flower but also sharing the wonderful chocolate afterwards.
This magnificent creation was designed by a chef-chocolatier to be assembled before enjoying: the water lily was prepared by the Pierre Marcolini team of artisans to be assembled by two, four or six delicate hands!
On a delicious hazelnut praline milk chocolate base, it’s down to you to assemble and create each petal, alternating between dark and milk chocolate, of this beautiful water lily.
The kit includes:

As well as the pleasures springtime brings us, chocolate contains several compounds that can also affect our mood and make us feel happy too. One of these compounds is phenylethylamine, which is a natural chemical that our brain produces when we fall in love. It can also increase the release of endorphins, which are natural chemicals that make us feel good and reduce pain.
Chocolate also contains small amounts of caffeine and theobromine, which can stimulate the nervous system and increase alertness and energy levels. Additionally, the sweet and rich taste of chocolate can trigger pleasure centres in the brain. Leading to feelings of happiness and satisfaction.
