How Fussy Are Brits When it Comes to Finding “The One”

How Fussy Are Brits When it Comes to Finding “The One” – Do you think that Brits are fussy when it comes to finding “the one”? Many believe that people in the UK are too choosy when it comes to finding love, especially since online dating has transformed the way in which people find partners, giving those searching for a soul mate, more options. Interestingly, it seems that some Brits use star signs as a way of finding compatibility.

Star Sign Compatibility

According to a survey of 2,000 UK adults from jewellery store F. Hinds, 21% of Brits search for a specific star sign in a potential partner believing this will make them more compatible. 3 in 5 millennials believe astronomy has an impact on romance and 14% narrow their pool of options based on star signs. Interestingly, astrologer Bex Milford believes that certain star signs are compatible and people should not always be looking out for their own sign. A few examples of star signs that are well-suited include:

Aries and Libra

Taurus and Cancer

Virgo and Pisces

Capricorn and Pisces

Gemini and Sagittarius

In addition to this, Bex Milford also states that there are certain engagement style rings that different star signs prefer. Taurus, Cancer, Virgo and Capricorn prefer a more traditional style ring while Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Pisces, Sagittarius and Aquarius all prefer something slightly more modern, daring and bolder. So, if you are about to pop the question, make sure your partner’s sign matches the choice of an engagement ring!

When You Know You Know, Or Do You?

There is an old saying that “when you know, you know” in regards to finding “the one”. While this is a romantic notion and may be true in many cases, it is also important to understand that the UK divorce rate is around 42%. This is a staggering amount, which suggests that people are not always right about the person they choose to live the rest of their life with.

It is important that people do not rush into marriage and those that believe in astrology may want to think about star sign compatibility and whether or not you would work well together in the long term. Finding the one is not just about romance and passion, but also about finding someone that you can be a partner with through the ups and downs of life now and in the future, so it is a major decision to make.

Some will say that Brits are too fussy when it comes to finding “the one” and settling down, especially since the arrival of online dating. Despite this, divorce rates show that people often find that they are not compatible in the long run and this is why people need to seriously consider compatibility before deciding to settle down with a partner.
