Step Into Your Own Race Across the World This Spring

Adventure Awaits: Step Into Your Own Race Across the World This Spring.

If, like us, you’ve ever sat on the sofa watching teams dash across continents in Race Across the World and thought, “I could do that,” then this might just be your moment.

Following its hugely successful launches in London and Manchester, Race Across the World: The Experience is expanding this spring to three beautiful new cities — Edinburgh, Bristol and York — and we couldn’t think of a more exhilarating way to explore them.

Created by CityDays under licence from All3Media International (on behalf of producers Studio Lambert), this immersive, high-stakes adventure invites you to swap the screen for the streets and become a contestant yourself.

A race with strategy, teamwork — and a little nerve

Just like the television series, teams are given a set budget to manage as they navigate their way through each city. Spend wisely on valuable clues? Or take a daring risk and conserve your funds? Every decision shape your journey and your final score.

It’s a thrilling race against the clock, with teams ranked on a live leaderboard throughout the day and week. The fastest team with the most budget remaining will be crowned daily or weekly champions — so yes, the bragging rights are very real.

Discovering cities differently

Split into three distinct legs, each route covers approximately 4–5km over two to three hours, weaving through the very heart of these historic cities. And what we love most about this concept is that it encourages you to slow down and truly notice your surroundings, something we so often forget in the rush of everyday life.

In York, teams will race through the enchanting The Shambles. In Bristol, you’ll find yourself navigating via The Corn Exchange. And in Edinburgh, prepare for a climb towards the iconic Edinburgh Castle.

Each location acts as a checkpoint, where clever, escape room-style puzzles must be solved before you can unlock the next leg of your adventure. Expect hidden gems, cultural hotspots, and perhaps a well-earned pub stop along the way.

A shared adventure

Tom Rymer, Founder of CityDays, says:
“Following huge success in London and Manchester last year, we are delighted to be bringing the Race Across The World Experience to three new cities: Edinburgh, Bristol and York! New puzzles, new characters, new decisions and new discoveries, all coming soon over three new thrilling races. Are you ready for your race?”

Jane Sharp, VP Licensing (Operations) at All3Media International, adds:
“Race Across the World celebrates new discoveries and new destinations — so we are thrilled to continue our successful partnership with CityDays as three new cities open routes this spring. With six routes launching across five cities in under a year, it’s fantastic to see how adaptable the experience is — and just how strong fans’ appetite for adventure has become.”

Perfect for friends, families or colleagues looking for something a little different, this fast-paced city challenge promises laughter, problem-solving, and that wonderful sense of shared achievement that comes from doing something slightly outside your comfort zone.

If you’re ready to step off the pavement and into your own adventure, you can sign up now for the latest news and ticket information. We have a feeling these races may fill quickly.
