Step Back in Time with TIMEWALK – An Immersive Journey Through the Ancient World Coming to London.
At Women Talking, we’re always excited to discover experiences that entertain, inspire and teach us something new, and TIMEWALK looks set to be one of the most fascinating cultural events arriving in London this summer.

Opening in July 2026 at Immerse LDN on the Excel Waterfront, TIMEWALK promises to take visitors on an extraordinary journey through some of history’s most remarkable civilisations. Combining cutting-edge technology, immersive storytelling and historical research, this isn’t a traditional museum exhibition – it’s a chance to step directly into the ancient world and experience it as if you were truly there.
From the mysterious temples of Göbeklitepe to the grandeur of Ancient Egypt, the legendary city of Babylon, the mathematical brilliance of the Maya and the iconic Moai statues of Rapa Nui, visitors will walk through thousands of years of human history in a way that feels vivid, emotional and incredibly real.
What particularly appeals to us is the way TIMEWALK brings history to life beyond the pages of textbooks. Rather than simply observing artefacts, visitors become part of the story. Imagine sailing along the Nile at sunset, wandering through Babylon’s ancient city gates or witnessing bustling civilisations as they awaken at dawn. Through spectacular visuals, immersive soundscapes and cinematic narration, these ancient worlds are recreated in breathtaking detail.

We love experiences that make learning feel effortless, and TIMEWALK appears to do exactly that. It offers a unique opportunity for adults and children alike to understand how our ancestors lived, what they believed, how they built communities and how their ideas continue to influence the modern world.
Created by DEM Museums, the award-winning team behind acclaimed immersive cultural attractions including the Hagia Sophia History and Experience Museum and the Ephesus Experience Museum, TIMEWALK is designed to connect visitors with the shared story of humanity through powerful storytelling and state-of-the-art technology.
The exhibition will be housed at Immerse LDN, London’s growing destination for immersive entertainment and cultural experiences, which has already welcomed more than 1.7 million visitors.
With a 25-language audio guide available, TIMEWALK is designed to be accessible to visitors from around the world, making this a truly inclusive celebration of human history.
As lovers of both history and immersive experiences, this is firmly on our must-visit list for 2026. We can’t wait to explore these ancient civilisations, discover their stories and experience history on a scale rarely seen before.
TIMEWALK opens at Immerse LDN, Excel London Waterfront, in July 2026. General admission tickets start from £28.50, with children’s tickets from £22.70.
We’ll certainly be making a date in our diaries and look forward to sharing our experience with Women Talking readers after our visit.
