OXO Good Grips POP Containers Review: The Kitchen Storage That Finally Organised My Cupboards.
I never thought I’d reach the stage where opening a kitchen cupboard would make me smile, but here we are.
For years, my cupboards were a constant work in progress. I’d buy matching jars, baskets and storage tubs, only to find they didn’t quite fit the space or weren’t practical enough for everyday use. Sound familiar?
Fast forward a few years and, after plenty of trial and error, I can finally say my kitchen storage is almost exactly how I’ve always wanted it. Surprisingly, a lot of that is down to one brand that has quietly become my go-to for kitchen organisation – OXO.
Over the past year I’ve reviewed several OXO products, and every one has impressed me. They’re beautifully designed, incredibly practical and, perhaps most importantly, they simply work. It’s refreshing to find a company where you can buy with confidence, knowing the product will perform exactly as promised.
The Kitchen Storage Containers That Started an Obsession

My latest additions are the OXO Good Grips POP Containers, and they’ve completely transformed my pantry.
I originally chose one of the smaller 400ml containers for storing home-dried chillies and herbs, but it didn’t stop there. Before long I’d filled others with bay leaves, seeds, dried fruit, nuts, loose tea and coffee.
The only real problem?
The more POP Containers you own, the more you realise you need another one.
Thankfully, OXO has created an impressive range of sizes, so whether you’re storing pasta, rice, flour, sugar, cereals or baking ingredients, there’s a container that fits perfectly.
Why the OXO POP Containers Stand Out
There are plenty of food storage containers on the market, but OXO has thought about all the little details that make a real difference.
The push-button lid creates an airtight seal with one touch, keeping ingredients fresher for longer. Press the button again and it pops up to become a handle, making the lid incredibly easy to remove.
It sounds simple, but there’s something strangely satisfying about using them.
The updated design has slimmer sides that maximise cupboard space, while still stacking neatly with existing POP Containers. The clear BPA-free bodies mean I can instantly see what’s inside and when supplies are running low, saving me from discovering halfway through baking that I’ve somehow run out of flour.
The rounded corners also make pouring ingredients wonderfully easy, and everything, including the lids, is dishwasher safe. Even better, the lids come apart for a thorough clean, which is a thoughtful touch that many storage containers overlook.
The Perfect Starting Point
If you’re starting from scratch, I’d recommend the OXO Good Grips 5-Piece POP Container Set.
It includes a practical mix of container sizes that are perfect for everyday pantry essentials such as flour, sugar, pasta, cereal, oats, coffee and grains.
Within minutes, shelves look tidier, ingredients stay fresher and everything becomes much easier to find. It’s one of those purchases that instantly makes your kitchen feel more organised.
The Reusable Silicone Bags That Changed My Mind

Another surprise favourite has been OXO’s Reusable Silicone Stand-Up Bags.
I’ll admit I was sceptical.
I assumed they’d become another kitchen gadget that sounded like a good idea but would eventually end up forgotten in a drawer.
Instead, they’ve become one of the most useful products I’ve used this year.
The stand-up design makes them ideal for snacks, chopped fruit, vegetables and leftovers, while they’re equally handy for measuring baking ingredients like chocolate chips or nuts. The wide opening makes filling them easy, and the secure seal means I can confidently throw one into my handbag or picnic basket without worrying about leaks.
Being dishwasher safe is another huge plus. They clean beautifully and are ready to use again in no time.
Most importantly, they’ve helped me cut down on disposable plastic bags without making life any harder, which is exactly the kind of sustainable swap I can get behind.
OXO Understands Everyday Kitchens

One of the things I’ve grown to appreciate about OXO is that every product seems to be designed by people who actually spend time in the kitchen.
Nothing feels over-engineered or gimmicky.
Instead, it’s thoughtful, practical design that genuinely makes everyday tasks easier. Whether it’s the comfortable push-button lids, easy-pour corners or products that are accessible for people with reduced grip strength, everything feels intuitive.
It’s easy to see why OXO has earned such a loyal following over the years.
My Final Thoughts
Kitchen organisation probably isn’t something most people dream about, but having cupboards that are neat, functional and easy to use genuinely makes cooking more enjoyable.
I’m wasting less food because I can see exactly what I have, I’m spending less time rummaging through cupboards, and everything simply feels calmer.
After reviewing several OXO products, I’ve become a real fan of the brand. The quality has been consistently excellent, and every item has earned its place in my kitchen.
The only downside?
I’m rapidly running out of excuses not to buy another POP Container.
