Ellia – Essential Oil Diffusers

Ellia – essential oil diffusers – Aromatherapy is an easy way to improve your mood, whether you are at home, at work or even on the move.

Personally, I love to fill my home with fragrance whether it is from luxury scented candles, reed diffusers or other alternatives.

Ellia offers a selection of ceramic and wood diffusers to complement any décor, from traditional to contemporary with styles to fit your unique space.

Each of the diffusers operates for several hours continuously, so you can turn it on, then sit back and relax. They have a variety of ultrasonic diffuser shapes and designs, and there are even portable models that you can take with you on the go if you spend significant time in the car.

Women talking had the opportunity to experiment with the Gather Ultrasonic Essential Oil Diffuser. This particular style has a beautiful, basket-weave design, available in white or grey.

Simple to use, just add water and several drops of your favourite essential oils to release a soothing or energising aroma.

It comes with a handy remote control and delivers up to 10 hours of continuous runtime delivering a fine mist of natural aroma to enhance your mood. It also features a colour-changing light offering a gentle glow creating a peaceful environment, a library of relaxing and uplifting sounds to soothe your mind or alternatively boost your energy, and an Essential Oil Starter Kit, complete with three samples to start you off.

Having experimented for a number of days we particularly enjoyed the Restore Essential Oil Blend available in a 15ml bottle.  Just adding 5 to 7 drops in the essential diffuser was enough to help bring balance back into our lives. Also, ideal for an evening wind-down or anytime you want to relax and melt your worries away.

The soothing scent has hints of floral, citrus, and herbs. Bottled exclusively in the USA, the violet glass bottles protect the essential oil’s precious qualities from the light and come with a childproof cap for safety.

We certainly like the cosmetic look of the essential oil diffuser and here we have listed some key benefits:

1. Relaxation and Sleep

One of the best and most well-known uses for essential oils is their ability to help you unwind at the end of a hard day. Diffusing the oils creates a peaceful sleep, and the mist produces a long-lasting effect to help you to continue to sleep through the night. Scents such as lavender, ylang-ylang, vetiver, and valerian are all conducive to a restful night’s sleep.

2. Mood Elevating

Many essential oils have adaptogenic qualities – meaning that they are soothing when you’re stressed, but they can also give you a pick-me-up when you’re feeling down or sluggish. By levelling out your mood, the oils in the air will help you to focus. This is not only great for when you’re feeling sad or depressed. You can use your diffuser to inspire high spirits during the holidays, to set a positive atmosphere for business meetings and social gatherings, to help you get moving on a slow morning, or even to create a romantic atmosphere for that special someone in your life.

3. Ward Off Illness

Essential oils have powerful antimicrobials that can help kill germs lurking in your home. By diffusing the oils into the air, you can kill off airborne germs before you become ill; the organic compounds within the oils come into direct contact with airborne pathogens before they can invade your body. The oils can also help boost your immunity, reducing the likelihood of a cold or flu. Oregano oil can help prevent flu, peppermint can ward off a cough or cold and lemon helps prevent or reduce the severity of viruses.

4. Allergy Relief

Allergies can cause respiratory issues, clogged sinuses, and scratchy throats. Diffusing essential oils into the air can provide on-going natural relief. Oils such as peppermint, basil, eucalyptus and tea tree oils can provide comfort and ease.

5. Repel Insects

Whether your problem is mosquitoes, house flies, fruit flies or moths, you can use essential oils in your diffuser to deter these critters from entering your home. Recommended oils include clove, lemongrass, rosemary, and cedarwood.
