Pranic Healing – Complementary Therapy

Pranic Healing – Complementary Therapy

Pranic Healing – Complementary Therapy – I have always been a firm believer in holistic practises and complementary therapies and was recently invited to an introduction to Pranic Healing.

Pranic Healing is a holistic energy healing system developed by Grand Master Choa Kok Sui combining ancient healing methods with modern science. His origins are from the Philippines where the Institute of Inner Studies, the global governing body of Pranic Healing is located and is widely taught in the UK by the Insitute of Pranic Healing Uk & Ireland.

It is based on the principle that there is a vital energy, known as prana or life force, which sustains the body and promotes its self-healing abilities. Pranic Healing aims to cleanse, balance, and harmonise the energy field (also known as the aura) and the energy centres (chakras) of the body to facilitate physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

Pranic Healing practitioners understand that certain patterns occur in the energy field of a person based on their health, lifestyles, pressures, relationships, thought patterns and environments.  As the energy system is the blueprint for the physical, these patterns can manifest either with a physical or psychological condition.  By systematically applying specific techniques and set protocols for an individual condition, the practitioners aim to alter and normalise the pattern, thus enhancing the body’s natural ability to heal itself.

Pranic Healing can be learned by anyone, whether they feel energy or not, as it follows a procedure which has been researched and validated over a period of over 30 years.

The practice of Pranic Healing typically involves the following steps:

Energy Assessment: The practitioner does not diagnose a condition and will always work to a specific procedure which is dependent on the condition they are treating.  As they are working on the energetic system, they use scanning techniques to assess the energy centres and areas of discomfort for blockages or depletion.

Energy Cleansing: The practitioner applies specific cleansing techniques to remove dirt, used up or diseased energy, as well as the energy of unhelpful emotions which may affect the functioning of the chakras.

Energy Enhancement: The practitioner then energises and revitalises the affected areas by projecting fresh prana into targeted areas.  Energy is light, it affects a chemical reaction in the cells, which act as a catalyst or fuel for the body to regenerate.

Pranic Healing is a non-touch healing modality, which means that physical contact with the client is not required. Instead, practitioners work with the subtle energy field surrounding the body. It is used to complement traditional medical treatments but is not intended to replace them. It is considered a complementary approach to wellness and is used to support physical, emotional, and mental health.

Pranic Healing techniques can be applied to address a wide range of conditions, including physical ailments, emotional stress, relationship issues, and spiritual development.

It’s important to note that while many people have positive experiences and benefits from Pranic Healing, it is unique to everyone. I certainly felt a sense of calmness and well-being at the event I attended run by Jackie O’Connor, I enjoyed the Meditation on Twin Hearts, which was a beautiful introduction. Personally, I saw a rainbow of colours, mainly purple throughout the experience.

The Meditation on Twin Hearts is a technique to achieve illumination or “Universal Consciousness”. It is also a form of world service that helps to bring harmony by blessing the earth with lovingkindness, peace, joy, and goodwill. It brings a tremendous amount of spiritual energy, peace, love, prosperity, and happiness into the practitioner’s life. It is a noble tool that raises one’s vibrations toward higher states of awareness and expanded levels of consciousness.
