Pranic Healing is a highly developed system of energy dispersion based healing techniques to utilise “Prana” as a means to balance, harmonise and transform the body’s energy processes.“Prana” is a Sanskrit word meaning, “life-force” and refers to the invisible bio-energy or vital energy that keeps the body alive and maintains its state of good health. In acupuncture the Chinese refer to this subtle energy as “Chi” and in the Old Testament it was called “Ruah” or the “Breath of Life”.
Pranic Healing is a no-touch energy healing process using the body’s ability to heal itself. It is applied to the bio-electromagnetic field known as the aura, which contains the blueprint of the physical body. Scientific evidence provides tangible proof of the existence of the aura, which has been termed the “bioplasmic body” from the word “bio” meaning life and “plasma”, the fourth state of matter behind solids, liquids and gases.
Scientific experiments conducted by the eminent Russian scientist Semyon Kirlian, showed that colourful, radiant energy fields surround the physical bodies of all living things, interpenetrate the visible physical body and extending about 4 to 5 inches from the skin’s surface. Kirlian’s experiments using his own form of photography revealed that diseased energies appear in the aura before manifesting themselves as a physical condition.
Pranic Healing, as an easy to apply method of natural healing, has been adopted by many schools of medicine including doctors, nurses, massage therapists, acupuncturists and chiropractors. Energy centres called Chakras exist in the palms of our hands and, through simple exercises with a Pranic teacher, can be activated, enabling practitioners to locate and cleanse weakened areas of the body.
Pranic Healing is certainly a practice that deserves more investigation because if it works on the healing processes of the mind it may, indeed, help us to successfully fight illness.
