Based in Newport, Wales The B Collection is a female-led beauty, cosmetics and skincare brand, with every product lovingly handmade in the UK. Their philosophy is to provide products that will help clients take time for self-care, and to love themselves and who they are.

Always dreaming of having her own line of products, in 2019 Rebecca Bolton a former beautician and nail technician created just that, her own cosmetics brand. She started out making cuticle oils and lash and brow serum for her clients to use after their beauty treatments. Being a front-facing business that was built upon interaction with her clients daily the Covid19 pandemic sadly meant Rebecca had to stop work as a beautician.

Faced with a dramatic change of lifestyle, Rebecca found that she had become less stressed and more in control of her emotions. Having previously struggled with mental health including anxiety and panic attacks, Rebecca had come to terms with her issues and taught herself ways to calm down and take control of her mental wellbeing.

She realised how rushed, unhealthy, and stressful her life was running a beauty business from home with no room to really grow, running on very little fuel and putting other people’s feelings before her own and realised that there was a great need for self-care beauty products not only for her own wellness but that of her clients too.

Behind the scenes, Rebecca started creating products ranges in-house including Nourishing Hand Cream, Lip Balms, Lip Scrubs and expanding her knowledge on what products she wanted within her brand. Self-Tan, Skincare, Bath Bombs all followed and now, the newly rebranded ‘The B Collection’ has over 50 products within the ranges and many more in the pipeline.

Social media has been an asset for Rebecca, it has given her a platform to talk about mental health and wellbeing. She shares her knowledge about ways of dealing with her anxieties and how using her products and taking time for self-care was 90% of how Rebecca had personally changed her outlook on life.

As our products became more popular, customers were messaging to say how having a small routine at the end of their day had helped them take more time for self-care, body positivity, self-love, manifestation, and honesty about learning to love yourself, for who you are, building a strong community rather than a following.

Rebecca’s brand continued to grow; she has now closed the beauty business to allow The B Collection to become her full time ‘job’.

Alongside being a self-love brand Rebecca is also very honest about her products. She does not claim unrealistic expectations of the results they will get from using the products, just the positive points of the ingredients and what they can do for you cosmetically and mentally. It is about feeling great afterwards and not feel selfish for taking time for self-care. It’s all about real skin, real results, real bodies, and real emotions.
