Bramhope Waterproof Down Jacket

Bramhope Waterproof Down Jacket

Bramhope Waterproof Down Jacket – I don’t know about you, but this year, in the UK, temperatures have been significantly low and I have really felt the cold. I feel envious to see youngsters dressed scantily in the colder weather when I would not attempt to leave the house fully clothed in my full winter regalia.

Unfortunately, cold sensitivity can be a sign of ageing, although our bodies can naturally adapt. This is something I must accept and learn to overcome with a slightly different wardrobe selection!

Hoping to keep in line with looking great as well as warm has been challenging, until now. My friends at TOG24 have developed what I can only call a ‘hug in a coat’ a sleek design with technical features to protect you from the outside elements.

The Bramhope women’s parka comes in a smooth, soft outer fabric that is fully waterproof and ultra-warm thanks to the natural insulation of high-quality 600-fill power duck down and feathers filling.

When you slip on this long winter coat, made easy by the clever two-way full-length zip fastened with press studs and Velcro, it feels like shrugging on a duvet thanks to the warm and cosy quilted lining.

If you get caught in the rain, out for a hike, or travelling to work, the fully taped seams and water-repellent coating mean that rain simply beads off, giving you full protection.

Designed by the TOG24 team in West Yorkshire to be practical, stylish, and flattering, Bramhope comes in a longer length and there are toggle adjusters at the inner waist so you can cinch it in. Thoughtful features include a cosy hood with toggle adjusters at the front and press studs at the back for a bespoke look.

TOG24 meaning ‘Truth Over Glory’ was founded by Donald Ward in West Yorkshire in 1958. Donald had been apprenticed as a millwright, repairing the looms of the then-flourishing textile industry around Dewsbury, and by the late 50’s he’d learned enough to set up on his own.

The business began with the factory shop in Heckmondwike. Originally carpeted in off-cuts of fleece and selling seconds and ends of lines out of cardboard boxes, the store did so well that they stopped trying to sell TOG24 to other people’s shops and set up their own chain of stores. TOG24 now sells from over 60 outlets across Britain and Ireland, (and for the biggest bargains you can still visit them at our original factory shop in Heckmondwike).

The Bamhope Parka has been a wonderful addition to my wardrobe and can’t wait to see what the design team comes up with next.
