Ester Saez – Introducing Cosmetofruit

Cosmetofruit founder Ester Saez Cosmetofruit is made from Chilean produce Cosmetofruit Total Body Booster Cosmetofruit - Anti-Aging Formula

Ester Saez is a woman who believes in shaping her own destiny and although she fully recognizes the challenges that women in business face, she sees them as obstacles that can be overcome.

Born in the small town of Panguipulli, in the southern most part of Chile, Ester spent the formative years of her life growing up with her parents who were both doctors working in the area.

“It is such a beautiful town,” she reflects with a fond glint of nostalgia in her eyes. “It has the most wonderful lake running alongside it and I have fond memories of my early days there. Later, when I was around 4, work took my parents to the capital, Santiago and that was where I grew up.

“My mother died several years ago from cancer but she was a pediatric surgeon whilst my father was a senior doctor specializing in emergency UTI and he is also professor at the university in Santiago. My family is full of scientists to be honest! My sister has a PhD in electrical engineering so I have spent all my life amongst people of high achievement and intellect.

“I have always loved studying and the world of academia. The arts, sports and music were all huge favourites of mine – but I especially loved maths and art. Everything related to creation was of keen interest to me.

“After college I studied commercial engineering and business administration at University Catolica de Chile and then followed this up with a post graduate course in Kellog, USA.”

Ester’s background has provided her with a broad experience in the management of both regional and global projects as well as bringing brands and products from their development stage into the regional marketplace.

In 2007 she was nominated for the El Mercurio Award as one of 100 Women Leaders by Chile’s main national newspaper and again in 2008 for the same honour.

However, after a professional career that spanned over 18 years working in marketing, mass consumer promotion across multi-national organisations, including global brands such as Avon, Unilever, Colgate and Walmart, Ester decided the time to branch out for herself was at hand.

“After a long and enjoyable career in marketing I wanted to follow my own ambitions and put my experiences into a more personal context. So, at the start of 2009 I joined the world of entrepreneurship in Chile by starting up my own business.

“I was conscious that the industry around nutri-cosmetics was an emerging one and something I felt – with my scientific background – I could contribute to, both to the benefit of myself and more importantly the consumer market that existed out there for these products.

“Being an entrepreneur is definitely tough, but it is an incredible challenge, and one I thrive on as I work to balance it with my family.”

So where did the idea for Cosmetofruit specifically come from?

“I had a “light bulb” moment whilst in bed one night. I wanted to create something that could be uniquely associated with Chile and then take it abroad so that I was promoting the country as much as the product.

Cosmetofruit is 50% tough science and 50% charming marketing. Naturally the success I have enjoyed is also because of the wonderful team of partners I have working with me.

“The principal of Cosmetofruit is a simple one. It is all about making yourself beautiful from the inside out. Many of us still do not realize that to keep our bodies fit and healthy requires our internal intake to be balanced and nutritious.

“What we consume on a daily basis has a significant impact on our skin, our weight and our well-being. It rises to the fore and in so many cases skin conditions can be attributed not to something that is going on at the surface but at a deeper level. In simple terms, if you fill your car with low grade fuel or oil you will eventually notice the difference in performance.

Cosmetofruit is designed to readdress that balance. Made from 100% natural fruits and extracts it is targeted at restoring radical skin damage, boosting wellness and fighting the obvious signs of aging from within.”

Has Ester stumbled upon an elixir for longer lasting life?

“There is nothing accidental about Cosmetofruit. It is not a speculative project based upon mythologies and “old-wives tales”. It is a scientifically produced supplement that – if taken in the recommended dose and as part of a nutritional diet  - will aid the skin and internal health of a person.

“However it takes commitment too. If all you eat is burgers and fries every day, drinking Cosmetofruit is not going to make any obvious difference.

“We are also completely transparent about the product and what it contains. Unless you are allergic to berries or grapes you should not encounter any problems but simply read the list of ingredients and if in doubt, consult a medically trained advisor.”

I asked Ester why she identified the connection with Chile as being so significant.

Chile is an exceptional bioclimatic island. The composition of our rich soils and unique climatic conditions are further favoured by high levels of sun radiation and large temperature variations. Consequently, plants that grow under these conditions contain unique phyto-nutrient profiles that are not found in any other planet latitudes.

“It is for this reason that we only use ingredients produced from our country and why their benefits remain specific to this region of South America.

Cosmetofruit products contain only natural flavours and colours; moreover they contain no preservatives or artificial sweeteners. So, there is no problem if you want to continue taking Cosmetofruit for a long period.”

Outside of her successful business Ester is also a dedicated mother to two children and she insists upon maintaining a balance between her role as company director and her responsibilities as parent.

Being a mum is just marvelous. It is the single most rewarding thing in my life. I have an 11 year old and a 6 year old, which bring me challenges but so many beautiful experiences as well.

“Starting a business in Chile is not easy but no more difficult than it is in any other part of the world for women. I have learnt that you need to listen to those around you, appreciate the support that comes into the business and always reward the team around you.

“For any women reading this who are thinking about embarking upon their own business venture I would say that first and foremost you need to only pursue something that you totally believe in. If your subject does not trigger your passion then really analyse if it is the right thing for you to pursue. Being deeply in love with a dream or an idea helps you move forward – it is not only about the money or the fame. It is also about giving something back to the society that gave you your chance in the first place.”
