White Water Strategies is a metaphor: if globalisation, competition and the fast pace of change in general can be likened to a fast running river, then many of us when left to our own devices simply go with the flow or worse, paddle upstream in the hope of slowing things down. Rafting techniques actually teach us that the best way to get back in control of our direction is to go faster than the flow. When we achieve this, then the world around us seems to slow down, we have time to think, take decisions and actually see the future more clearly.
