I would just like to ask a quick question about how to calculate the amount of electricity I use in my little therapy room for heating and lighting?
Also how do I work out the amount of my phone bill I allocate to business use?
Of course all of this has the end of the tax year in mind!

This has always been a complex and confusing area. HMRC have issued some guidance on the deductibility of household expenses for the self-employed working from home. They have offered some clarification here and have also provided examples of the costs that are deductible.
