Now that is what I call an achievement.
I have often wondered what happens to the unsalable goods that are donated to charity shops. We all enjoy the 'thrill of the find' when we have discovered a bargain but to the majority of us, damaged clothes, fabrics and accessories whether they are faded, stained, torn or basically seen better days are of no use at all.Fortunately these are exactly what Jen and her team of designers are searching for.
REVAMP designs and manufactures in the UK using predominantly reclaimed materials. Where the incorporation of new materials is required they ensure that it is ethically sourced, natural and biodegradable. The designers of REVAMP come from various backgrounds and education and have been running their own small businesses under their own labels for many years.Collectively REVAMP have a wealth of experience in producing seasonal fashion collections and demonstrating the potential and the possibilities surrounding reclaimed and recycled materials. They believe the rebirth of the reclaiming and recreating ethos is a 'pivotal point in fashion'.
Jen herself started her career as a costume designer in theatre and fashion styling in films. She has also designed her own beachwear collection, with Jen and her designers having their individual strengths the end result is the restoration of beauty and life to a wide range of vintage garments. The UK designers provide a sustainable alternative to high street fashion through an ever-changing collection of unique and limited edition fashion items. Each season REVAMP will provide a unique one-of-a-kind and limited edition Eco Couture Collection of clothing and accessories as well as a Ready to Wear Collection of easily replicated separates.
I was delighted to see the varied, exciting and feminine collection on my visit to Cancer Research in Marylebone High Street; we all like individuality these days and that is exactly what revamp are willing to offer. For more information on REVAMP head over to their website at www.revampfashion.co.uk
