The Plight of Africa and its people is never far from the headlines.
UN meetings, emergency summits, fund raising concerts and continued media coverage ensure that the tragic events in some of the world’s most impoverished nations are never far from the public consciousness.
The first time I heard about Florence Krief I was so intrigued by her
story that I wanted to meet the woman in person to hear it for myself.

This is not a drama that you will ever say you enjoyed. It is, however, one you are never likely to forget and one which calls for a packet of tissues to mop up the tears.

After September 11th, Florence Krief was made redundant with half of her team from Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein where she was an investment banker specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions.
